Attend an Orientation Meeting

• Mandatory for parents wanting to get their adoption and/or foster license.

• Attending an Orientation Meeting does not commit you to become an adoptive and/or foster family.  You are welcome to learn more about the process and decide at a later time.

• Orientation are held at the main office located at 5151 Flynn Parkway, Suite 106, unless otherwise noted.

• Overview of the relevant and applicable rules of TXHHS Minimum Standards.​

• Philosophy, organizations structure, and policies.

• Description of the services and programs offered.

• Needs and characteristics of children served.

• Frequently asked questions and definitions

• Costs related to getting licensed

• Calendar of trainings
